Content optimization is nothing but using the keyword or key phase while writing content for website by using one topic. If any one target one keyword for one page by making it content full with particular word without spamming then it is content based optimization.

Keyword density also come under content based SEO, any one who is optimizing website with content based optimization need to use particular word many times. For e.g. If I am doing content based SEO by using key phase search engine word I am using this word 12 times in content of 250 words. Then the keyword density of this particular word is 12/250 * 100 = 4.8 % . the keyword density should not exceed 7% it will count as spamming
